BECCARII

Fact sheet.

BECCARII is the world’s first all-terrain VTOL vehicle — one machine that drives on composite tracks, takes off vertically, flies and swims. It is developed by B-Technology Sp. z o.o. in Jasionka, Poland, founded in 2016, and its propulsion system is protected by a granted patent family with priority in 2012.

In-house capability: 3- and 5-axis CNC machining, turning with Y axis, 3D printing (SLS, FDM, SLA), CAD design, prototyping and composite lamination.

The vehicle

Capability Status
Drive — composite caterpillar tracks demonstrated on the 1:3-scale prototype
VTOL — vertical take-off and landing demonstrated
Flight, full manoeuvres demonstrated
Swim — sealed amphibious hull part of the design

Propulsion is distributed across eight electric units. With two of the eight inoperative, the vehicle lands safely on the remaining six. The propellers sit inside the tracks, which makes the track serve as landing gear, propeller guard, drive system and obstacle-clearing geometry at once — and removes the differential, the gearbox and the drive shafts.

Development status

A fully functional 1:3-scale prototype flies and performs full manoeuvres. It currently uses one propeller per track; the production-grade coaxial arrangement will halve the count while doubling redundancy.

Market context

More than a hundred companies compete in eVTOL, including Airbus, Boeing, Hyundai, Toyota, Joby, Lilium and Volocopter. None of them combines air, ground and water in a single vehicle that needs no runway, helipad or vertiport.

What is demonstrated and what is not

This distinction matters more than any single number, and it is the one most often blurred in this industry. Stated plainly:

Performance figures from an earlier project phase — top speed, flight range, thrust — are deliberately absent from this page. They are under revision, and we would rather publish nothing than publish a number we would later have to correct.

For journalists and analysts

The one-sentence description we use consistently across every profile and directory is: BECCARII is the world’s first all-terrain VTOL vehicle — one machine that drives on composite tracks, takes off vertically, flies and swims. Built by B-Technology Sp. z o.o. (Poland, 2016), protected by a granted patent family covering 50+ jurisdictions.
